An IGBT power supply is a power supply device that uses an Insulated Gate Bipolar Transistor (IGBT) as its core power component:
Working Principle:
Basic Principle: The IGBT combines the high current carrying capacity and high blocking voltage of a bipolar transistor with the capacitive properties and near-zero power control of a MOSFET. It controls the conduction and cut-off between the collector and emitter by controlling the gate voltage, thereby achieving rapid switching of the current and controlling the power supply output.
Conversion Process: In AC/DC conversion, the IGBT power supply rectifies AC power into DC power; in DC/DC conversion, it dynamically adjusts the fixed DC voltage to the voltage required by the load.

High Efficiency and Energy Saving: Fast switching speed, low switching losses, and relatively low power consumption in both on and off states effectively improve the power supply's conversion efficiency and achieve energy-saving effects.
High-Frequency Characteristics: It can operate at higher frequencies, generally between 2kHz and 50kHz, resulting in a smaller and lighter power supply, while also improving the power supply's dynamic response speed.
High Input Impedance: The IGBT has a high input impedance, requiring low drive power, which reduces the complexity and power consumption of the drive circuit and has relatively low requirements for the drive signal, making stable drive control easy to achieve.
Wide Voltage and Current Range: IGBT power supplies can achieve a wide range of outputs from low voltage to high voltage and from low current to high current, meeting the requirements of different application scenarios for power supply voltage and current.
Comprehensive Protection Functions: It has multiple protection functions such as overcurrent protection, overvoltage protection, undervoltage protection, and overtemperature protection, effectively protecting the power supply and load equipment from damage caused by overload, short circuit, voltage abnormalities, and other faults, improving system reliability and stability.
Compared to traditional thyristor power supplies:
